Riding in a horse-drawn wagon

Mike is working so the girls and I went to a horticultural day. We learned about recycling and got a little bit of gardening advice. But mostly we got our faces painted and rode in a wagon drawn by horses. There were camels there too, but we arrived too late to ride them.

It must be 90 degrees and we all smell like coppertone....the smell of summer!

Sisters

What have we been up to?

Playing in a half inch of snow, painting canvas, and going to the circus (and getting our face painted)

Aprons

I love aprons...I rarely ever wear them, but I love them.

I was asked to make some aprons for the Mayo auction recently.  I made four but only remembered to take pictures of one.

And this is not a tutorial on how to make them as I have only two pictures.

planting seeds

We planted seeds last Saturday.  We have decided to grow a garden this year and this is the first time we have planted from seeds.  I thought it would be fun for the girls to watch something sprout from seed.

We planted these

In our pajamas

Mike has started digging the plot for the garden outside.  It will be many weeks before these little sprouts are ready to go outside.

But here is what they looked like on day 5.
